Born on Feb. 23, 1949, in Atlanta, Ga., Vicki spent her childhood moving among Air Force bases in Japan, Michigan and Nebraska before her family settled in Fair Oaks, Calif., in 1963. She graduated from Del Campo High School in 1967 and married Edward Morrisroe in 1969, after which they moved to Tuolumne County, Douglas Flat and then Murphys. She has lived in the same house in Murphys since 1978.
